Breaking News: NYSC discharges 987, Sanctions 8 Corps Members in Katsina State

The National Youths Service Corps has asked four corps members serving in Katsina State to repeat their service year.

The corps also extended the service of another four corps members by months for various degrees of offences. The sanctioned corps members were from the 2018 Batch C Stream 2 that just rounded off their service year in the state.

According to a statement signed by the spokesman for the NYSC in Katsina, Mr Alex Oboemeta, 987 corps members in the batch were discharged after completing their service year in the state.

The statement added that five outstanding corps members were given state honours for their “excellent and dedicated service to their fatherland.”

In his remarks, the state NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya, enjoined the corps members to use the lessons learnt during their service year for the good of the society.
